The first location identified was the Wiltbank Ranch north of Eager, AZ about 12 minutes. It is 1,550 acres of deeded land and another 1,800+ acres of state leased grazing land. A price was negotiated and the owner said when the co-operative was ready to notify him.
As the Herbdoc noted above a 3,061 acre parcel is under consideration. There are several issues that have to be ironed out before an offer can be made. Water for one, a five year lease currently in place for the land and sufficient participants to make sure land can be paid for or a significant donation the the Perpetual Land Fund.
Potential properties in Idaho, Wyoming and Cardston Canada are being sought for.
