Is the brick and mortar store in the co-op or will there be anything in neighboring towns? I think one concern people have with selling is that everyone will extra eggs or extra zucchini, so is there an outside outlet for selling?
Currently not an outlet for selling (no one has a crop yet!)
The plan is to create our own brand of organic fresh food and sell it through Associated Foods or the like.
The co-op store will be in the town. Hadn’t thought about expanding stores to neighboring towns — we’ll have to consider that when the co-op store starts turning a profit.
Part of the income coming into the co-op will be going towards setting up a co-op store. The store is for both purchasing and distribution, where you can sell your products. There will be a brick and mortar store as well as an online store.
Yes, you could drive your own produce into town and sell at Farmers Markets or where ever you want.
