Building Heroes Academy
During the summer of 2014, I had this crazy idea. I was thinking about how wonderful it was to have a co-op that taught my teens leadership and success principles. They learn about the hero journey, and are surrounded with ideas of greatness – that they are here on this earth for a purpose, and that they must prepare themselves to be ready to help out others when the opportunities arise.
And that’s when the crazy idea popped in my head. Why do we wait until the kids are teens? Why not teach start teaching them these principles when they are young? Do we wait because we are too busy teaching them the “core” academic subjects? What if there were a curriculum that incorporated success principles and character while learning core knowledge? What if I could take all the knowledge I’d gained over the past 15 years of homeschooling and pick out the very best parts to create the “dream curriculum”?
What if I created that?
