What is going to happen once all the shares have been sold, with no room for new younger families to move in? Won’t the demographic age and end up with a community of old people once children have grown up and moved away(since there won’t be any new lots available)?
Another thought — we’ve had 3 or 4 kids born so far to parents living at Riverbed Ranch. Currently there are 38 pre-teens. We also have a good number of residents in their 60s and 70s so in 20 years when those kids are adults, our older residents will be in their 80s and 90s – probably in care centers and not their homes. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
Some of our shareholders are already bidding on lands adjacent to our property.
That is one option for expansion. Another is that we (Philip Gleason and myself) are planning to create at least 4 more of these communities along the Rocky Mountains. Likely Eastern AZ, WY or OR, ID, and Alberta, Canada.
