Will those with school-aged children be homeschooling? What about Sunday worship? Will people be driving into town for that or will a congregation be formed at the co-op?
These are good questions. There are those that are and will be homeschooling. The Ranch is in the Tintic School District for those that want to participate in the public school system, however the travel time is burdensome. We anticipate having a facility in the fall of 2021 for those that want a brick and mortar building on the campus for the private K-12. In addition, we are working on establishing our own ISP and connecting the community via fiber.
As for church services, that will depend of which church individuals belong to. A large percentage of our shareholders belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Depending on which Stake boundary the Ranch is in will determine which location they will meet in. It is my understanding that when there are enough members of a community, they will establish a branch that will meet in a home or another facility as it comes available. However, that will depend upon the Stake President of the Stake that we are in.
