You could only do it by building a complete new envelope around the outside … i.e., block up exterior walls with compressed earth blocks and build then high enough to construct a new roof strong enough to support 9″ to 12″ of earth … God forbid you don’t try to add that much insulation instead … the trade off is not attractive to Sustainability but CEB and Green Roof would do the trick!

If I cash out my stoncks I can buy the share, but I don’t have enough to build a house yet and I wont be able to do so in the next three years if I cant get a loan. I could park a trailer on the land but would that count?

Do we know this, how do we know this, are you some sort of prophet? I thought we were not becoming some kind of mad max post apocalyptic cult. I guess we need to get a sheet metal fab shop so we can weld all those spikes on our vehicles for when we hijack the oil tankers.

Of everything I have read so far this was the most concerning. The internet is here to stay and it’s never going away.

I don’t consider Hughesnet to be a real option, cell based internet is better than that. Starlink should be available now and it seems legit, are any of your residents actually using it yet? What will the cost of the beehive service be (once the Bureau of Land Management stops rioting and goes back to work)? Is the co-op being billed for the beehive internet construction cost?

This is very disappointing. I like the idea but I would prefer it to be set somewhere with a bit more rain&humidity and in a county that will let us build as we please.

Any chance gaining township status where we could get rid of the building codes?

Can a modular/manufactured home be brought in if you purchase you two acres and get approval? Onsite septic and water well would have to be done. And solar on the roof so that it is completely off the grid. Also, if you put in a yard is it watered from you culinary or is there secondary water?
