As I write this letter the faces of the six families that I was able to provide a personal tour of the Utah OSR Land Cooperative Riverbed Ranch are still bright in my mind. It is truly exciting when families see the ranch for the first time, taste the water, see the pilot crops of hemp and bee forage growing, and travel the three-mile length from end to end while getting a feel for the beauty and size of the property. The light and smiles that come to their faces when they start to see the possibilities that could be theirs truly gladdens my heart.
OSR is about families, pure and simple. Putting the goals for owning property, having a passive solar energy free home with zero or near zero heating and cooling costs, a barn, a greenhouse, a garden/orchard with a well and approved sanitation while remaining debt-free with like-minded neighbors within reach for many families is our goal.
Last week’s new webinar, “Continuous Prosperity Through Cooperative Free Enterprise” provided insights into current and previous successful cooperatives. These successes are examples for our day pointing to a culture that is not dependent on crumbling infrastructure, such as the one many of us are currently embedded in. Our goal is to help families reach their goals of owning property, being self-reliant while remaining debt-free.
Come visit us at the ranch, spend some time kicking the dirt clods, drinking the cool water and experiencing big sky country with fresh air. Help with our many service projects, including our tree initiative to plant 1,000 trees by this time next year. We planted the first twenty apple and peach trees two weeks ago, only 980 to go. The journey has begun, and you are invited to join us in becoming self-reliant and having some fun doing it.
God speed,
