2020 is finally here and begins an exciting year of action not only for OSR but also, in our personal journeys to self-reliance. January is the last month to secure your membership in the Utah OSR Land Cooperative for your two-acres with a honey payment coming back to you in April. In addition, it is time to sign up for the upcoming hands-on workshops, as well as submit your floor plans to the plan bank in preparation to build. Final preparations are being made to approach Sol-Ark, our preferred solar power manufacture, with bulk purchase for the best discount we can acquire. There is all this and so much more.
Planning and preparing for every needful thing requires a clear focus on what is wanted with a consistent effort each day to accomplish something meaningful towards that goal. The path to self-reliance has very few big steps, most are small but significant. An example of these steps would be writing down what it is that you want to accomplish today and then doing it. What is the next step? Is it to watch the next webinar and follow up on the assignments or share OSR with a neighbor or friend that you would like to have as a neighbor. Time is short and with each passing day, it becomes more urgent to move forward.
If there are conflicts in your life that stand in the way of moving forward in your desire to become self-reliant, I highly recommend you take a moment and visualize the consequences of not achieving self-reliance and how that will affect your family in the days to come. Time is short and there is much to do. Let 2020 be the year you did what was needed and not let it slip away leaving in its wake, a path of regret. Take courage, join with us and leave behind the many dependencies that have ensnared so many. Take the next step.
God speed,
