The Juab County building inspector uses the International Building Code as his standard. Any residence will have to meet that code. The County also requires a 115 MPH wind load and a 30 pounds/square foot snow load. Other counties in Utah require much higher wind loads, by the way.
The good news is that the building inspector said he won’t be inspecting our agricultural buildings.

Standard city building codes? I’ve been interested in an earthship type house for years and wondered how much freedom we had with our builds, considering, of course, that everything is very structurally sound.
