SUMMARY:Tree Planting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come help plant trees and shrubs to reclaim an old ranch into a regenerative agriculture cooperative community! We will be planting a small area and learning about the land-rehabilitating principles behind the design.\nWe are gathering a small number of trees and shrubs and designing a permaculture food-forest to be installed near the well by the “Special Projects Area” – the future site of the Academy of Self Reliance Campus\, Holistic Wellness Center\, Mother and Child Rescue Home\, Ropes Course\, and Equine Therapy Barn. This event is just the beginning of creating community green areas at the Utah OSR Land Cooperative which will be beautiful and functional in terms of healing the land and soil and people who will frequent it\, as well as providing important habitat for wildlife and bee forage.\nBring gloves and a shovel if possible. We’ll provide light refreshments\, activities for young ones\, and rest areas (there are now 3 working bathrooms!).\nYou are welcome to camp before and/or after the event. Tents and trailers/RVs will be allowed to camp in designated areas. Please be mindful that this land is will be certified organic – if you need to dump water please do so inside the house. You will need to pack out your own trash.
