“What are you going to do if the crisis lasts 2 weeks longer than your food storage?”
Academy of Self-Reliance founder, Philip Gleason, was confronted with this unsettling question as a young father. It popped into his mind immediately after patting himself on the back for gathering a 2-year’s supply of food and water for his growing family.
Join our host, Jesse Fisher, in tracing Philip’s life-altering journey as he overcame obstacles on his trek towards achieving total self-reliance for his family, and, the resulting joint initiative called “Operation Self-Reliance”. Extensive live Q&A follows.

More info for the detail-oriented:
After briefly introducing his own journey that led him to embrace Philip’s vision for independent, self-reliant families, host Jesse Fisher, will present Philip’s story and it’s resulting “Operation Self-Reliance”, answer any questions regarding it and/or the Academy of Self-Reliance.
Philip’s progress along that path resulted in the founding of the Academy of Self-Reliance. The Academy is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) educational non-profit which is already helping families and individuals develop transition plans to move from a city lifestyle of competition and dependencies (for food, water, shelter, energy and sanitation) to a debt-free, rural lifestyle of self-reliance.
The Utah OSR Land Cooperative, Utah’s 1st and only non-profit land developer. was organized under Title 3 of the Utah Code as an agricultural cooperative. The Co-op has purchased 1,245 acres of farmland in Western Utah and is creating Utah’s first modern farmsteading community. Over 45 families are currently shareholders in this self-reliance project.
