It came immediately after patting himself on the back for gathering a 2-year’s supply of food and water for his growing family.
Join our host, Jesse Fisher, in tracing and discussing Philip’s life-altering journey as he overcame obstacles on his trek towards achieving total self-reliance for his family. An extended open-mic Q&A follows.

Philip’s progress along that path resulted in the founding of the Academy of Self-Reliance. The Academy is a Utah 501(c)(3) non-profit which is already helping families and individuals transition from a city lifestyle of competition and dependencies (for food, water, shelter, energy and sanitation) to a debt-free, rural lifestyle of self-reliance and cooperation, surrounded by neighbors who value those things as well.
After briefly introducing his own journey that led him to embrace Philip’s vision for independent, self-reliant families, host Jesse Fisher, will present Philip’s story and it’s resulting “Operation Self-Reliance”, answer any questions regarding it and/or the Academy of Self-Reliance.
The Academy of Self-Reliance is a Utah non-profit which is partnering with other organizations in “Operation Self-Reliance” or OSR. OSR is already helping families and individuals transition from a city lifestyle of competition and dependencies (for food, water, shelter, energy and sanitation) to a debt-free, rural lifestyle of self-reliance and cooperation, surrounded by neighbors who are doing the same.
